The undercarriage is a common area that gets damaged due to the fact they sit so low to the ground. Doesn't take make much if your not careful to bottom them out :hurt::hurt:

I can just see how it happened- when they loaded my Z in Arizona to be shipped to me back in 2002, they drove it up on the ramp to load it into the truck then once it reached the top of the ramp and the front wheels hit the level spot, BANG

I'm pretty sure the PO of my Z ran over a curb at some point. It has a pretty nasty dent right under my left foot when I'm driving, but it has no effect on the way the car drives and the alignment is perfect.

But it's true, I love the car so much, it bothers me that it has a dent, even if I'm the only one who knows it's there.

Ok update. Took some photos today. Any of you frame rail experts are more than welcome to chime in

OK 1st pic,

I got some of the undercoating off to look and notice the tan color the closer you go towards the back? What scares me is it felt almost like a hard plastic when I knocked on it with my finger :paranoid:

2nd pic,

This is the rail on the drivers side towards the front - noticed more of the off white color stuff

3rd pic,

This is the drivers side - See the big scrape mark (again with the off white color underneith.

4th pic,

This is the passenger side rail - see how whatever they hit cought that joint and peeled it back?

This is the rail on the drivers side. Location is I'd say between the back of the drivers seat and before the left rear wheel well.

This has really been driving me nuts guys The last 4 are the ones that concearn me most and the off white $^!#. Hope it's just a paint or primer Probably not my luck.

The off white stuff is most likely an epoxy primer. I found the same thing when I stripped the tar undercoating and paint off the bottom of my 73. Be glad it's there. You can see it in the following shot by the edge of the paint.

Jared, I'm not sure that he'll be welcome there either with this attitude, and I don't feel that your statement is all that fair to the Hybridz guys. There's plenty of good people and information over there and I disagree with the us and them posture some members take. I'm just sayin'.

Not sure what you mean Enigma. where did I dis HybridZ??? Just stating a fact. If he's looking to hot rod his Z then Yes, HybridZ is a more fitting place for him.

No argument on the fact he'll wear out his welcome over there eventually with that kind of attitude. He will with anyone if he doesn't grow up.
