Posted June 14, 200915 yr comment_286674 I've taken it around the block a few times and it's a lot of fun to drive. Not long now and i'll get it registered. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32191-hi-def-vert-video/ Share on other sites
June 14, 200915 yr comment_286682 Mr Vert, you too have one cool ride...we'll need to meet in the middle one day...not many of us "non originals" around, good luck...what struts are you running in the front end? June 15, 200915 yr Author comment_286757 Meet in the middle and have a drag race. Front struts are DR30 lowered kings springs kyb shocks with little spacers to get the caliper to line up right on the disc.We should all do our best to get to the 2010 Skyline Nationals in Adelaide and represent the K's Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32191-hi-def-vert-video/#findComment-286757 Share on other sites
June 15, 200915 yr comment_286766 I'm glad the video didn't end with you modifying the rear wall of the garage, although that would have been pretty entertaining as well. June 15, 200915 yr comment_286773 LOVE TO! Let me know when and where....the reason I asked about your front struts is that I also are using dr30 struts with z31 inserts (cut down about 45mm) but until today couldn't get the right ride height...Installed 200mm springs with keeper springs and all seems to fit ok......Any chance the Vert will be completed in time? June 16, 200915 yr Author comment_286870 http://www.skylinenationals.com/ In September. I'll be there but probably not with a roll cage and stroker motor attached, It should be registered within a few months and most likely will just have a simple rebuild by me on the 318 to get it fresh enough for the nats. I need to save $15k to get it to stage 2 of restoration so that may be a while. I promise to fix the overspray Camo its just I have to do inside the wheel arches and scrape it off the mags too so being a painfull large job I'm avoiding it as best as possible. The video almost had my girlfriend driving in it until I realised what a recipe for disaster that was, she probably would have crashed before she even got to the garage. October 22, 200915 yr Author comment_298145 i'll come to this non origional meet too.... i'd love to see how mine compares to the v8 Your turbo would prob beat me at the moment but with the us$ falling so fast it won't be long before I buy a crate motor how well dose the 300zx IRS fit in? how much did you have to mod it ? 300zx irs doesn't really fit in, I paid big $'s for SWR to do the work so I don't really know how hard it is, I know how long you have to save though. It would be better to use a R33/34 irs as it has a shorter track measurement, I chose the 300zx irs as it has the R230 diff not the R200. The vert has . . . i mean is being built to get thrashed around so I wanted a big diff to cop the abuse.
