efi 280z into 260z coversion! Need advice please

I just pick up a early white 74 260z. The owner had sold the motor with transmission, and everything else is still attach. The other day I just pick up an full swap from n/a 75 280z that came with engine harness, computer, amf, intake plus intake box. I know that almost everything from the 75 will bolt into my 260, but not unsure if the 75 harness will bolt into the 260 since it's a carburetor setup. I was talking to my friend the other day and he told me that I will need to wire the ignition wires from the 75 harness into my 260 ignition, then will need to wire up the fuel pump, then I should be able to start the car. I have search and seen many for the l28et swap, and nothing so far about what I'm looking for. So anyone, please confirm if my friend is correct? Plus anyone who experience in the swap or know any information about it, can please help or direct me to a link that will answer my question. I just want to get my facts straight before I start the swap. Thanks
