Posted June 17, 200915 yr comment_286977 Hey everyone!, I am pleased to say that my brother in law received this car for an unbelievable price of $1,000. The guys needed the money real bad, it looks like its been treated for rust in the past, but there are a few spots acumulating now that need attention. He is gone in alaska for a few months and allowed me to tinker with it for a while. IM CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR A 240Z myself, 74 and below. It's a Nissan 240z swapped out with a rebuilt 2.8L Straight 6 cylinder block with only 2,000 miles on the rebuild. The block came from a 1981 280z, It also has a recently rebuilt 4 speed manual transmission. The car runs beautifully, it handles like it's on rails, it only weighs 2,300lbs and it's pretty fast. It has straight exhaust with a golden turbo muffler(kinda sucks). Since its so old, means no need for smog check or anything like that. It runs slightly slightly rich but idles and starts/turns off perfect. Future mods include, Hids, new staggered 17inch wheels. Probably Black. Some interior work and probably some new side skirts. Rust is minimal, with a few minor spots that need attention. It was treated in the past for rust, but it was a long time ago. Anyway here are some pixs and video. ***If anyone can help me out, my drivers side light is dim and I cant seem to figure out what it is, i have taken the light out and replaced it with a new one, but its still not working right. I checked all the connections and cleaned them but its still very dimm*** Edited June 17, 200915 yr by Arne Oversize hotlinked pictures deleted by Arne Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32234-new-member-1971-240z-l28/ Share on other sites
June 17, 200915 yr comment_286986 Welcome to the forums! Now I do my Moderator thing - I deleted all the photos you hotlinked. Please don't hotlink to full size photos like that, it makes the thread impossible to read in many web browsers. Make certain that any hotlinked photos are re-sized to a reasonable width, generally not more thann 800-1000 pixels wide. Thanks! Uploading them directly is preferred. Thanks! Is that the next show? Kinda far, I will be there I hope. I want to see other Z cars. I am very new this car, but I have always loved them.
