Carl Beck Posted June 30, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2009 Hi Joel:A list doesn't exist - and it wouldn't do you much good unless you already know what the parts looked like to begin with.Your best bet is to take a lot of digital pictures showing all the details of the car - and post them here for review/comment. This group can tell you just about everything that is right/wrong with the car. You however have to get clear pictures that show every aspect of the car including the undercarriage...FWIW,Carl B. Mike B Posted June 30, 2009 Share #3 Posted June 30, 2009 The club sells a parts CD that does have part numbers and pictures, but I don't see a link to that on the site anymore. The link to the Zcar Club Store doesn't seem to work anymore (at least for me). You can contact Mike (the owner of the site) by Private Message (PM) and let him know you want to buy one.-Mike B
Carl Beck Posted June 30, 2009 Share #4 Posted June 30, 2009 Oh... is he wanting to buy a CAR or is he wanting to buy PARTS?My response was based on the preception that he wanted to buy a CAR that he wanted to be correct - but Mike seems to take it that he wants to buy correct PARTS... In which case the Parts Catalog is what he needs.. sorry if I misunderstood..FWIW,Carl B.
Mike B Posted June 30, 2009 Share #5 Posted June 30, 2009 Oh... is he wanting to buy a CAR or is he wanting to buy PARTS?My response was based on the preception that he wanted to buy a CAR that he wanted to be correct - but Mike seems to take it that he wants to buy correct PARTS... In which case the Parts Catalog is what he needs.. sorry if I misunderstood..His post was confusing to me too Carl. I took it to mean that he wants to buy a car, but would also like some parts information to determine if the parts are correct. I agree with you that the best way to do that is either take pictures and post them here or take a knowledgeable Z person with him to inspect the car. However, since he did ask specifically about part numbers and "a list and deals of all the parts" I think the Nissan Parts Catalog or club parts CD fits that description.-Mike
Cessna Posted July 4, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted July 4, 2009 Hi Carl,Thxs for responding I am looking for a "parts list" with associated parts numbersfor a 72 240Z(95298) that I haveIs there a club parts CD?Thxs againJoel
Bruce Palmer Posted July 4, 2009 Share #7 Posted July 4, 2009 I can just imagine the response you got from the dealer. You want a list of parts that came on a car sold many many years ago? NISSAN and their dealers don't want to mess with anything that says Datsun on it. Car sales car sales car sales is what it's all about in this man's army. Pop's Z Posted July 4, 2009 Share #8 Posted July 4, 2009 FWIW, Courtesy Nissan in Dallas www.courtesyparts.com has a parts CD of the old Datsun microfiche parts catalog. They also have a service manual for your car on CD also.Cheers, Mike

Pop's Z Posted July 6, 2009 Share #10 Posted July 6, 2009 Hi Joel, Try calling them 1-800-527-1909. I also don't see it on their website. I am going to try and make a copy of mine (may be write protected) and if I'm successful you are welcome to a copy. I'll let you know. Cheers, Mike
