240Z wont start anymore (plz help)

ok will a lotta research i think i have the problem narrowed down to the distributor.

I am getting spark at the ignition coil but no spark or random sporadic sparks at the spark plugs.

Before you rebuild the dizzy, make sure you've done the cheap and easy stuff. You said you put in new plugs and wires, but did you also install a new rotor and cap? Those could cause a sporadic spark.

I think that running so rich may have fouled the plugs. When you tried starting it it may have backfired slightly, eniugh to blow the cap off. If it was runnig on all six I don't think it is the dizzy. It also looks like you cleaned the outside of the carbs, not much help. If the floats are sticking it will overflow out the vent tube on top of the float bowl not into the engine. It is more likely that the pistons in the carbs are sticking and not allowing enough air in. You should be able to lift them up with your finger and when you let go it should drop smoothly. A common problem is the choke linkage sticking closed so make sure it is returned to the open position on the carbs.

No I did not replace the rotor and cap. Guess that should be my next step.

I cleaned the carbs inside and outside. I found that the choke was stuck and on the front carb the needle was a little bent. I fixed those problem and the carbs work beautifully now. The piston moves nice and smoothly as you have described.

The problem was a loose wire inside the distributor.

That balance tube should be seeing a vacuum not pressure. It connects to the tube Arne was talking about and it sucks the excess vapors out of the crank case to ensure pressure does not build up. If your getting pressure back through your intake, that means that during the compression stroke, there is a leak path back to the manifold, through an intake valve.

or it could have been a backfire through the intake. That could do it.
