Posted July 14, 200915 yr comment_289521 ever since i bought my car i have had the same problem where if i tried going up too steep a hill or go too fast (anything above 60) the engine would start to cut out like it wasn't getting enough gas. i put a "new" set of carbs on it and checked out the filters and all seemed to be ok but the problem never stayed away long. Finally my father clamped off the return line to the front filter and for some reason it seems to be working. is there something that could be missing from the system because i know the car had been messed with by its previous owner and we could be missing something obvious. July 14, 200915 yr comment_289527 I have a similar problem with my weber carbs. When accelerating hard up hill the engine starts to tumble (like a lack of fuel) at 5000+ rpm. It doesn't happen on a flat road or downhill. Maybe the electric fuel pump (Futjisubo 3,5 psi) is too week on the one hand and/or the loss because of the return line on the other hand is too much. At first I will do like you and close the return line. Who can give advice because he had the same problem?Rolf Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32522-kind-of-a-issue-with-my-return-fuel-line/#findComment-289527 Share on other sites
