I am trying to finish this restoration on a 1971 240Z. {3/71}I need these hoses. part # 17238 E4601 and 17243 E4100. Nissan says they are not available. The local parts guy wants to sell me coolant hoses. Does anyone know where I can get either the correct hoses or quality aftermarket hoses ? The part #'s are from the Club CD-Rom. Take a look at this thread that Arne did about the fuel hoses a couple of years ago http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25857. It looks like 17238-E4602 replaced 17238-E4601. I think 17243-E4601 is NLA, but Arne substituted 17236-E4601 for it.

You definitely want to use fuel rated hose for all of these hoses. I was able to order 17239-E4601 and 17235-E4601 from www.nissanparts.com. 17238-E4602 was NLA so I used (19mm or 3/4") fuel hose for this one, and 1/2" fuel hose for 17236-E4601. If you can't get 17239-E4601 from there I saw one on eBay.

You can fine 5/8'' fuel hose at Napa , this is what I used. Do not use coolant rated hose for gas ever.

Yes, but it looks like the hoses through Banzai are more expensive. Banzai charges $120 for the long gas tank hose (GF-23), but you can get Nissan part #17236-E4601 from Nissanpartsnow.com for $84.05.

Thank you, for your help I found 5/8" and 3/4" fuel hose at McMasterCarr. So I'm going to order it from them. I looked up Arne's research and I have a schematic in Wick Humble's book. Darrell 240Z

Thanks for the tip on Nissanpartsnow.com, I wasn't aware of that site. Do you know if these parts are the braided style or just standard fuel hose with the correct bends?

The ones I got from Nissan in '07 were cloth braid-covered, all four of them. Don't know if the current hoses are still covered.

I got some a couple of months ago and they were still the braided ones.

Yep, NOS braided on those that were available.
