Dont want a argument like all the other oil threads. I have dug threw them and still cant get a good answer.

The question at hand: What oil has the zinc etc etc that are cars require. Please list brands ie: castrol blah blah super blah.

Not what is better according to gump just what oils have the stuff we need.

Thanks.

The code phrase seems to be "high mileage".

Generally when the oil producer claims a particular oil is formulated for high mileage cars, it has a higher ZDDP content.

Personally after weeks and months of researching this subject on the internet, I am no longer convinced that it matters on any overhead cam engine. But if you disagree, the "High Mileage" oils appear to be what you are looking for.

(BTW, most of them are synthetic.)

Use any oil that explicitly states that it meets or exceeds the performance standards specified by the manufacturer of your vehicle. Many new oils no longer meet the older API performance specs, especially the less expensive ones.

What I use is Valvoline Part number VV205 This is VR1 racing oil. I run 10w-30 it has ZDDP. There others but this is a fine quality oil and is readably available. Shell Rotella is another but it must be the NON emissions grade , the same for Dello. In the old days finding oil that meets the API was only what you needed. Now the oils have changed and with roller lifters and Catalytic converters oils have had to eliminate certain important additives . ZDDP being one. On the newer engines it is no longer needed. However with our ''old technology'' we do need the additive. Anytime you ask a oil question , you will open up a debate and we all have opinions. I have mine and it comes form the knowledge of cam grinders and engine builders. I use what I use , you do the same . Nuff said.

Hey thanks for posting the part number! Amazon sells it by the case! Jeg's is listed in my Google search as well but Jeg's site is apparently down for the moment. I will give this a try my next oil change!
