Thought I'd say hello

Kinda have some depressing news as I'm considering selling my Z Car. Believe me this is something that I DO NOT want to do but I'm just kinda kicking the idea around because well times are tougher now because of this poor economy. I recently had to take a slight pay decrease which really cut into my Z hobby (Not complaining as I'm damn glad I still have my job) I'm a tech for an RV Dealer as some of you may know and the RV business is still obviously hurting right now. We still have 08 models sitting around which is costing the dealership I work at big time which as result they had to do layoffs and those of us up there in seniority got to stay but had to take a cut in salery.

I just hate thinking of parting with my blue baby but I just don't know if I want to go through the storage expenses (winter especially) during this recession. I will If I have to though If I do decide to let it go believe me, I for sure plan to get another one later in life if I'm able to do it over again.

Anyway sorry for the soap opera crap but thought I'd give those who care an update. I've been tied up debating about this for a while Not an easy choice :disappoin

I'm sorry to hear about your present situation. I hope that things turn around for you or that you find a way to keep your Z. I too am worried what will happen if I should lose my job or if the company has to make further cuts. I've already had to take a minor pay cut in the form of a quarterly work furlough, and hope that this is the extent of the cuts. That said, we had a strong 2nd quarter and hope that we can keep up the momentum. For what it's worth, certain sectors of the economy seem to be making a slow comeback. Fortunately for me information technology sales (or in my case network security) is one of them.

Thanks Adam. They told us if sales pick up and we can unload all the old rigs in our lot that they will put us all back to our orig. salery. Just have to see how it goes I guess. Not looking forword to the next upcoming winter :sick:

Man...that sucks...but, although I'm tempted by the usual refrain of "don't sell the Z", you've clearly got your priorities straight...
