Posted August 16, 200915 yr comment_292088 Well I used to be a rotary guy kinda still am but figured I'd take a break and get into a car I'd wanted for many years. The S30. I'd been into RX7's for the last 5 years with my main car being a 1990 2nd gen rx7, which I had put well over 10k into. It was a great car and I will miss it a lot but I'm hoping to get the Z up to that level as well. Well enough about my rotary past and into the future. My new project is a 1971 datsun 240z it's overall a relatively solid car just needs a few things I'm sure everyone here is familiar with the things an old Z needs. On the plus side I got the car with a built motor cams, rods, pistons, etc., can't wait to get a ball park on horsepower so I know where the car sits. August 23, 200915 yr Author comment_292624 Well as I said I would post pictures once I got my camera back and I did so here it is. At current it's not much to look at but that doesn't bother me. I recently fabricated a new battery tie (it works great) and I also fabricated two pieces of my throttle assembly, the old ones had cracked. Also got an idea on horsepower from a friend of mine that used to professionally race 3 of these years ago. With what the motor has done to it, it should be making about 250 or more. I just need to make sure I can get that to the wheels now.
