Rear sway bar bracket

Hey guys - its a bad luck story.

Drivin the 280 behind a dump truck - a 6 inch rock drops out and I can't get around it. It hit the bottom of the Z in a half dozen places - I almost cried.

Nothing could be done and it seemed cosmetic initially - so I figured just get on with it and drove on to town (after a brief once over on the road side).

Anyway - next day, run over a small bump in the road and clunk, clunk. Jacked her up and after some poking around there it is - the bracket containing the D/S sway bar bushing is pulled off. Pretty clean break from the chassis.

Anyone seen this befor? Can it just be welded directly back in place. Best method?
