Posted August 17, 200915 yr comment_292227 Almost done with my 73 resto. Everything electrical is now in working condition. Can get the hazard flashers to work. All connections triple checked and cleaned. Dash hazard switch also cleaned and does look in good working condition. Any suggestions ?Any such thing as generic hazard relay (the one by passenger side) ? August 18, 200915 yr comment_292284 I don't believe there is a hazard relay. Test the switch contacts directly with a continuity checker. When in Off position,Pin 4 connected to 5, and 6 to 7. All others not connected to each other. When in ON position Pins 1,2,3 connected to each other, and pins 8 and 9 connected to each other. August 18, 200915 yr comment_292286 I think the hazards have a fuse. Check the fusebox. My hazard switch has a temper as well, I have to wiggle it to make it work and when I shut it off, I have to wiggle it again to make my turn signals work correctly.Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32865-cant-get-the-hazard-flashers-to-work/#findComment-292286 Share on other sites
August 18, 200915 yr comment_292298 Hazard switch diverts power from the Stop Light Circuit when ON to power the Hazard Flasher. If the stop lights and the turn signals work properly when the Hazard Switch is turned OFF, then it's the Hazard Flasher that needs looking into.Don't forget that the Z has TWO Flashers, one for the T/S and one for the Hazards.2¢e Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32865-cant-get-the-hazard-flashers-to-work/#findComment-292298 Share on other sites
