December 13, 200915 yr comment_303139 are a perfect match! You were both blessed when you got together. How long has it been? 2 years? Very, very nice work Mike! Those LeMans look GREAT! I know tastes vary, but to me a Z looks BEST with a 4 spoke pattern on the rims. Lemans, Libres---and to a lesser extent-- Iron Cross, Swasticas Pictures are very good too---best pictures I've seen yet, since the repaint. Are those the original emblems on your car? New decal on the restored radiator? Keep it all coming! It and you are a source for correctness and inspiration for many of us. Thanks for the post---I will eagerly wait for the updates! Jim D. December 13, 200915 yr Author comment_303158 Thanks guys. I am trying to get it as close to original as I can. Rich, I know my engine bay work isn't on the same level as yours yet, but I will get there. I'm just not ready to pull the engine on it yet, so this is just a temporary measure.Ron, my daughter had a dance recital yesterday, so that was my excuse I used to convince my wife to let me open my camera present early. I can't believe that worked!Jim, I agree, I love the look of four spoke wheels on the 240Z, if you are going for a period look. The LeMans wheels are definitely my favorite, but I like the Libres alot too, and have them on #237 now. All of Five&Dime's pictures have inspired me to finally get a decent camera to see if I can learn to take better shots. You have a good eye for detail, yes that is a new radiator decal from Banzai Motorworks and those are the original metal emblems on the car. I repainted a couple of them before putting them back on after the exterior repaint.-Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32867-mini-engine-bay-refresh-on-hls30-00032/?&page=2#findComment-303158 Share on other sites

I actually found one of these at the Z convention this year for $5.-Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/32867-mini-engine-bay-refresh-on-hls30-00032/?&page=2#findComment-303163 Share on other sites
December 13, 200915 yr comment_303168 Wow Mike, nice job. You and Rich have inspired me to tackle this job myself in the near future. I only hope it turns out half as nice as yours.
