Sorry, I've got two dogs already and that's one too many! But I will take the car! :)

Carl, I've got really lousy timing. Last year when Randy called me about buying the Lemon/Lime VZ, I had just purchased a 997 Porsche two months prior, so cash and room were running out. Guess what I just totaled? I really wish I had bought the VZ now!!!

I'm sure you didn't mean it this way...but you're wishing you would have bought a VZ...to total it...????:finger::finger::finger:

RIP Porsche...but much easier to find another 997...

Michael,

My composition teacher would be mad at me for that one! Good catch. No, what I meant to say was if I had bought the Z, I would now have it and the money from the insurance for the Porsche instead of two cars.

And, if I was in the VZ I wouldn't have been in the wreck in the first place!

I've had a couple of offers in the upper teens in the past year already. Got a couple of business cards on file now. So high teens at least should be no problem.

Must be that flamboyant color or the fact that it's probably one of the sexiest cars in the PNW.

Learned today that one of the club members from this site purchased the car from the original owner. Also heard they got it at what I would consider an incredible price. Well, if both parties are happy then I guess that's a good thing! I'll let them decide if they want to disclose their new ownership.

But congrats to buyer and seller.

Best,

Bob

I sold the 42K mile car to Guy and at $13,500 I just about broke even on it ( bought it back this past May). So I really can't complain. The market has changed in the past year as I'm seeing nicer Z's going for a lot less $$ than a year ago. I purchased Randys 6000 mile '73 and have to say it's a blast to drive......that's right DRIVE. I will not put a lot of miles on it......but I buy all these cars to DRIVE and to me that's what's it's all about. Call me crazy but how much less will it be worth if in 3 years if it has 9,000 miles on it vs. 6,000? I don't really think it will be worth less.....hope I'm not wrong!

That's me too. Driving them is what it's all about for me. August has been a busy month for my car, two different shows in the Portland area, and a reunion in Klamath Falls. call it about 900 miles, all told.
