Looks like someone hasn't been taking their medication lately to put a price like that on something that looks that bad! $195.00 would be a bit more reasonable I think.:cross-eye Hopefully it was a miss-print.

Some people have an over inflated opinion on how much stuff is worth.

I travelled miles to see a 2 seater 280ZX, that was said to be in good condition and the guy wanted £2,000 about $3100. The car was an absolute basket case, with many holes you could put your fist through.

It's hard to say really. He says he has all the parts, just looks like they're all piled up. If you know what you're doing and have a power washer it could be better than it looks there. But hey I'm one of those guys who tends to get ripped off when it comes to cars so what do I know??

I found an ad one time that said " 1966 convertable Corvette --

needs some work - $2,100 obo. " I called right away! The old lady said it ran good when her husband died 5 years ago, but it probably needs work now. I got directions and headed out. She took me out to the back barn to show me the car. I lifted the canvas cover to find a 1966 Corvair !!

Maybe that lady thinks she has a Corvette.

It really depends on what you want and how bad you want it.

I recently purchased a 1965 SP310 from a guy in Sydney Oz on the basis of two digital pics. and his description.

I knew a 1965 sports car would be a little sad but let me say this.

Barring a few trim bits, the car is indeed complete as described.

Yes, it has tin worm, but the car has such simple sheet metal that repairing her should be a very straight forward exercise.:classic:

My intention is to restore her to original, barring a few reliability and safety modifications.

I mean, when the engine # matches the Build Plate Data and it is all there, it would be a sin not to right?

You really need to treat each "discovery" on an individual basis, and who knows the Corvair may turn out to be a Corvette!
