The '71 240Z that featured as a project car in Zoom magazine has appeared for sale in the NSW Trading Post this week. Here is the ad:

Datsun 240Z, 1971, Zoom magazine project car, twin turbo soarer engine, big intercooler, polished pipes, Supra 5 speed, R200 LSD, big brakes, chrome 17in rims, custom suspension, good trim and stereo, fresh paint, 11 months rego, all receipts, engineering and Dyno sheets, extremely fast, no dreamers please, DAT-240, $18000 SILVERWATER 0419-27 4906

Please note, I have nothing to do with this car so I am unable to provide any information other than what was in the ad.

Thats so cheap!! Well in comparison to how much we have to pay for the privelige of owning a Z . Just did a check and 18,000 AUD's is £6,398.

For that sort of money in the UK you get a nice original 240Z, with not too much rust.

For between £8-10,000 about 22,507-28,133 AUD's or 12401-15502 USD you get a show condition Z.

Hi George,

This is "Cuong" here: if you were referring to my car (cyong ??) it has not been featured in Zoom yet!

There are plans for the car to be in a few mags down here in OZ (regular photos have been taken by a journalist for the mags) but the car is STILL not yet been finished!!!

I'm sure that the news will get around once it hits the press. (I will let you all know for sure!)

No I was actually referring to Cyong............another guy from Australia whos got a RB26DETT fitted in his 240Z.

It's been reprayed the same colour, apparently it had some stone chips and small cracks etc...
