Posted October 19, 200222 yr comment_17275 Well here are my babies, the orange one is a 71 240 with a Chevy 350, the blue one is a 74 260 mostly stock. 260 is a daily driver while the 240 is pretty much for show and go! October 21, 200222 yr Author comment_17349 Thanks Alex, The rims are 15" 1992 Enki's with special machined knockoffs, the tires are 205 50x15 Goodrich Euro TA's. They look pretty good, would like to go a little wider but when you put to people in the car you get some rubbing go over any major bumps. It has lowered an inch or so, that makes a difference as well. Thanks for the compliments, it's been fun, taking the 240 to a show next weekend, so i let ya know how we do! October 21, 200222 yr comment_17353 that's a very nice looking Z, I'm not a huge fan of pushrods but you've done some really nice work there, and I was curious what kind of air dam is on the front of the car? October 22, 200222 yr Author comment_17417 Lot's of looks and no comments, seems like alot of folk here are prejudice against a fast car . Well, i know that i have worked just as hard on my car's as anyone else here. I always give props to those who make ANY Z look nice! I'll take my self over to hybrid if that's the case. Thanks to those who have given the compliments! Zya Later, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3313-my-babies/#findComment-17417 Share on other sites
October 22, 200222 yr comment_17418 Oh c'mon now, you aren't leaving us Zlish.... :devious: Have been out of town without a computer or I would have commented. Got lost in the postings when i got home..... Like them both, although personally I would used the 260 for the Chevy swap. Gotta keep those earlier cars close to original. How is it you have two running cars and I have 4 that aren't running?:stupid: :disappoin Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3313-my-babies/#findComment-17418 Share on other sites
October 22, 200222 yr comment_17428 Your Babies! Look great! - i'm finishing my '72 240 's exterior simular to your 240 - in blue. It has a mostly stock engine(.030 oversize w/ TRW forged pistons, 2-3/4" exit on the header. I hope to have it on the road in the spring! -- again your cars look great! - Jeff Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3313-my-babies/#findComment-17428 Share on other sites
October 23, 200222 yr Author comment_17436 Thanks guys, i am a little sesitive i guess! I did not swap out the 240 i bought it that way because i was going to do it to the 260 but the money spent on the 240 was less than i would of spent on the swap out on the 260. The 240 is immaculate, i have to do nothing except maybe some suspension and brake upgrades. thanks again. Jeff my 240 is 30 over as well with TRW forged pistons. I have a Sagina tranny and a R200 rear end. 750 double pumper to top her off, hooker headers (one piece welded). Two oil filters (see pic). Needless to say i have had lots of little Honda's thinking there racing a 240 and simply laughing at them as i am pulling away, which i usually do in the 260 as well. 2Many, i forgive ya, i thought for sure you would of said SOMETHING by now, you always say something!!
