I have been looking into putting Carbon Fiber bumpers on my 72 Z, and i was wondering if any of you guys had experience with them? I was just wondering if they are made well and whether the fit was good?

Thanks

The only thing I remember is a while ago someone had purchased a set and found a problem with separation or gaps between the weave. The concensus was that this represented a manufacturing error and the person should send them back to MSA. I don't know anymore about the followup. I purchased a set of the fiberglass bumpers to have painted with the car and liked them. MSA is a good group so if you use them and have any problems, they would take them back without too many worries.

Cool, i just think that the carbon fiber would look great on my orange paint. I just wanted to hear if there were any big problems before i had them sent to OH from CA, and had a problem and had to pay shipping to return them.

I have carbon fiber bumpers I bought for my 240Z from MSA. Seem very good quality. I haven't put the front one on yet and don't plan on putting the rear one on because I like the bumperless look. If you're interested I could sell you the rear bumper....its in like-new condition (still wrapped in the plastic). You can have it for cheap....just want to make room in my garage. PM me if interested.
