just finish putting the 5 speed into my car today and the car feels great. But , there's a little problem. I was not able to figuere out how to make the car turn on. I was able to run the car by using the starter, but how do I fix this.second, I left the auto diff, any coments on this.

You'll have to bypass the inhibitor switch circuit. It involves either connecting the wires together that went to the neutral switch (both wires are white with a black tracer IIRC and should be hanging near the right side of the trans since there's no place to connect them now) or removing the wire from the inhibitor relay and running it directly to the starter. Do a search, it's been covered here. If I recall, a 78 w/auto trans had a 3.36 differential while manual trans cars had a 3.54. However, some of the ZXs used the 3.36 with the 5 speed so I'd say drive it for a while an see how you like it.

I bypassed it and it worked. Know how can I get the reverse lights to work. Another thing I notised it jerks a little when I shift gears, a friend told me it could be the diff stabilizer or bushing. ( not really shure).
