Hello guys.

So recently I'm having a problem with my 1976 280z. The weather here in Tucson has been in the low 60's in the morning and when I come to start my Z it doesn't idle correctly. What I mean is, all other cars I have ever owned would idle high (around 1500RMP) until the motor was warm and then would come down. My Z does not do this. I have looked in the FSM for information about it but am having a hard time locating anything about it. Do you guys have any ideas? is there a way to adjust this? In the mornings it idles around 800 and when it warms it increases to roughly 1000.

I am cleaning all the connections tomorrow to see if this will help but input would be nice.

Thanks

Jan

Look in section EF on page EF-16. There is a description of the Air Regulator. There is a electronic test for it on page EF-24 and a functional test for it on page EF-58.
