Decals

I have to replace all the engine compartment decals on my 1970 240Z. I have visited several web sites that offer some decals but none offer a comprehensive list of the decals affixed to the car at the time of production.

Does anyone have such a list?

Also, I am interested in feedback on the quality of reproduction decals that are available. I am specifically interested in how the decals have retained their appearance over time; including the quality of the adhesives used, the sharpness of the lettering and the effects of heat and moisture on the appearance.

Thanks,

Keith

But some one pointed at few differeces on "OK" decal, "missing one dot(a period) on window washer decal?? I do not kno far you want to take it.

I have a car with 20K original miles, so I can assist you on originality of the car.....(Production date 12/1971 series 2)

As far as originality of Series 1, please go to Katz website for detail.

Hi Keith,

I have reproduced and provide the master vac and Hazzard switch decals for Banzai Motorworks. I can tell you that Mike at Banzai, from my experience, is very particular about total quality. My purpose in making these decals was, initially, for my own car, but, once well into the process and hundreds of dollars later, I was glad that there was a demand that allowed me to recover these costs. This should pretty well speak to all of your concerns.

Hope this helps.

Dan

keith,

Here is a secret.

Do not adhere the decals to the paint of the car.

Put them on an exquisitely thin magnetic sheet.

That way they can be kept in an envelope in the glove box when not on display, and will never fade, peel, or have other issues from cleaning, polishing, or running down the road, and you can put them in place at a moments notice
