Posted October 12, 200915 yr comment_297286 I'm looking at a set of Yokohama Avid tires for my bronze '78 coupe. OEM 14" steel wheels with OEM "mag" wheel covers.Any thoughts or comments on these tires in general or specific to Z cars? October 12, 200915 yr comment_297332 I've got 15's on my zx, and like them quite a bit. Good to great traction in most circumstances (I drive mine in the rain... and the snow), with acceptable road noise. I have Sumitomos on my daily driver, and while they are good, I think the yokos are better overall. December 15, 200915 yr comment_303394 I purchased a set of Sumitomo HTR H4 s recently, and they are very good. Quiet, handling is OK, H-rated, and they look good. Also good traction in the snow and ice, although being in Texas you don't have to worry about that! Can't beat the price at $45 each.http://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/sumitomo/195%252F70-14+sumitomo+htr+h4+90h.html Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33502-yokohama-avid/#findComment-303394 Share on other sites
December 15, 200915 yr comment_303396 Quiet, decent traction, black-walled, available in 14", and cheap.I've quite liked my set - even more once the car had struts that weren't blown out.My set is the "Touring" model, here.
