Does anyone know if this little vinyl boot is still available? It's the one that conceals the wires coming out for the console and going up into the dashboard. Mine has overspray on it and it would be nice to have a new one.

One of the members here made them. Do a search for that and shifter boots it will come up.

I got a shift boot from LBO730, a member here. Try asking him as I do think he makes them. And he does good work.

But if not, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing MSA and Black Dragon sell them.

If the overspray is a non-polymer variety of paint, you might be able to clean it off with mineral spirits. Mineral spirits will also dissolve away oxidized rubber -- if the part is rubber, and not vinyl, and that will make your rag very black very fast. No worries.

I've had LB0730s parts side by side with originals, anyone would be hard pressed to do a better job matching up the two or seeing a difference between them.

Thanks for the positive comments on the reproduction boots. I really appreciate it. For IM71Z or anyone else interested, the boots are still available. Price is the same as before.
