Does anyone have a set of instructions or some special advice that I can read? You need:1.Manual pedal box 2.Clutch master cylinder3. Clutch line for 24. Clutch slave cylinder with hose5.Clutch line clip and body side clip holder at RH rail for 36. Clucth kit and clutch through out bearing7. Clutch sleeve for the bearing8. Clutch folk with retainer9 Modifying shift area on your center console10. Disconnecting kick down valve. All the new parts are available from MSA.....Please note that you might need different specific clutch folk for a slave clylinder. October 23, 200915 yr comment_298222 Use the search function here, lots of info on this. One of the posts the search will pull up is the tech article (link below) I wrote on this subject a couple of years ago. My article doesn't address injection issues, but covers most of the rest.http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21274 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33619-auto-change-to-manual-tranny/#findComment-298222 Share on other sites
October 23, 200915 yr comment_298234 Your present computer will work with the manual trans. There shouldn't be any injection issues. October 23, 200915 yr comment_298267 Don't forget to install a pilot bushing in the back of the crank! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33619-auto-change-to-manual-tranny/#findComment-298267 Share on other sites
October 23, 200915 yr comment_298276 You forgot a big one Esprist. He also needs a flywheel and flywheel bolts. Also, a manual tranmission (obviously), shifter, and the associated rubber/pleather boots and clips. October 23, 200915 yr comment_298280 Did anyone mention bypassing the neutral start switch? It's probably in the write up. I saw something about disconnecting the kick down valve which I think 'downshift solenoid' is actually what was meant but that would be gone when you remove the trans. October 23, 200915 yr comment_298290 Don't forget to install a pilot bushing in the back of the crank! You are very right! There might be a spacer at the back of crank shft(where flywheel bolts on) on auto trans, and it needs to be come off. You also need engine rear plate and flywheelf for manual trans, I forgot to mention.........Espristwww.jdm-car-parts.com Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33619-auto-change-to-manual-tranny/#findComment-298290 Share on other sites
