Arne Posted October 23, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 23, 2009 Use the search function here, lots of info on this. One of the posts the search will pull up is the tech article (link below) I wrote on this subject a couple of years ago. My article doesn't address injection issues, but covers most of the rest.http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21274
sblake01 Posted October 23, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) Your present computer will work with the manual trans. There shouldn't be any injection issues. Edited October 23, 2009 by sblake01
Diseazd Posted October 23, 2009 Share #6 Posted October 23, 2009 Don't forget to install a pilot bushing in the back of the crank!
Jeff G 78 Posted October 23, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 23, 2009 You forgot a big one Esprist. He also needs a flywheel and flywheel bolts. Also, a manual tranmission (obviously), shifter, and the associated rubber/pleather boots and clips.
sblake01 Posted October 23, 2009 Share #8 Posted October 23, 2009 Did anyone mention bypassing the neutral start switch? It's probably in the write up. I saw something about disconnecting the kick down valve which I think 'downshift solenoid' is actually what was meant but that would be gone when you remove the trans. Arne Posted October 23, 2009 Share #9 Posted October 23, 2009 Yeah, I cover the neutral safety switch in my article.
esprist Posted October 23, 2009 Share #10 Posted October 23, 2009 Don't forget to install a pilot bushing in the back of the crank! You are very right! There might be a spacer at the back of crank shft(where flywheel bolts on) on auto trans, and it needs to be come off. You also need engine rear plate and flywheelf for manual trans, I forgot to mention.........Espristwww.jdm-car-parts.com
