Posted October 23, 200915 yr comment_298291 I have a very original York AC set up that was installed by Datsun dealer back then on one of my 71 car. Now the pully bearing is making a loud nose, but I do not know how to replace this baering or the pully. I can't press it out because there is metal cover over it........ There is no retainer or anything. I do not care about its originality on this at all, but I would appreciate your help here..... The bearing is made bu Nachi(Japanese one). I am hoping that there is a replacement for this......... October 24, 200915 yr comment_298323 Looks like you have to get a whole new pulley with bearing. Tomorrow I will look at the one spare I have and let you know what condition it is in. Got something to trade?Jim Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33627-york-ac-pully-question/#findComment-298323 Share on other sites

October 27, 200915 yr Author comment_298754 Thank you. But it has to be new one, or it will make noise again.......Are you looking for something for trade? Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com With many thanks, I found an old pully that I can replace the bearing, but later I found this replacement pully assembly from NAPA (made by Gates), so I wanted to share this with you all. It is #38038 from NAPA and it comes with NTN Bearing #6203LU rather than old bearing #6302. November 6, 200915 yr comment_299553 I was able to replace the bearing on my idler, it was an original 8/70, but the bearing was held in with a snap ring, so different than yours. The local part store had the bearing on the shelf. HTH, Richard.
