Chris,type A6(convertible) was a very biggining, Mr.Tamura was not inducted to the team yet.Type AC-2 has a lamp case which Mr.Yoshida said "that is my design" ,a little before the AC-2, Mr.Tamura joined as a modeler. Mr.Yoshida left the team after AC-2 completed.

Ohhh, man. As much as I love the coupe, I wish they'd have found a way to make a convertible as well!

When you hear the poetic words from Mr Tamura, you can understand why the S30 was such a winner.

I would recommend "Datsun Z - Fairlady to 280Z" by Brian Long as basic reading. That is probably THE most accurate comprehensive book on the S30 type; in English. The pictures I use most often come from a Japanese publication; Car Graphic magazine, issue 02, 1970. Mr. Matsuo told me that a great deal of the information in the article came from Yoshida san. However, the article is the most comprehensive description I have seen on the subject of styling development. It is all in Japanese though.

That surely is the truth, wouldn't we each love to have been part of this magnificent car, the 240Z.

I now have my second one, coming to me in my second youth of my life. A 1971, and now a 1976 at 72 years old.

What do you see in this picture  ? I see a beautiful female face . She has got beautiful eyes and nose and lips .

Many people were involved in developing of this car , but Mr Tamura did a great job . Who was there always in his mind when doing this beautiful work .
