Hi all,

2ManyZs just had some tragic news about his mother. She is sick and in the hospital at this moment. Let's all take some time to send him our warmest regards. You can either send him a private message, email, or just reply to this message.

Hang in there Keith, and we all hope your mom comes out of this with flying colors! :bunny:

I'd like to thank all of you who have responded to this post and/or e-mailed me directly.

Now that the shock of finding my Mom when I returned from a trip to Massachusetts has finally waned, I have had some time to think and collect my thoughts. She has made great leaps in her recovery in the last two days and is showing signs of recovering in due time. She had suffered a massive stroke but after only a couple days in the ICU has started moving her right hand and foot which has us all optimistic that she may some day regain use of her right side. She still is not able to speak, which is very frustrating for her but hopefully this is just a temporary setback.

After a few more days of testing to find out if there is any underlying cause for her to have suffered the stroke, they will begin therapy to help her regain use of her limbs and speech.

This is something that has turned my whole world upside down for the time being. I will try to check in on the site and help out when it is possible for me to get a few minutes.

I would like to thank you all for your support and only hope I can do the same for those of you who may need my support in the future. I'm glad I picked a group of people such as you are, that I could consider my friends, even though most of us may never meet face to face. Though we now only share a common bond in our love for our cars, we also have a common bond in that our families and friends are still the first thing we should all think about during a crisis.

I have been telling her that all of you have been sending your e-mails and prayers for a speedy recovery. It gave her a smile and a tear in her eye that so many people from all over the world would do that for her. For anyone who is experiencing what I am I can only say that my heart goes out to you, and that I hope you can be as lucky as I have been, and that whomever is ill will have the kind of recovery that she has surprised all of us with.

I think this has to be said, and I hope others feel the same...

In a world where terrorists, insane gunmen and religious wars abound, it is good to see that though many things may tear us apart, such a small a thing like cars can bring us all together. My heart goes out to you our friend as I, and I am sure most of us have experienced much the same thing (my brother shattered his back after riding off a 40ft cliff straight into a rock quarry. He was but a few heartbeats away from dying as I was next to him). I know that she will pull through it with flying colours and soon you'll be chatting about frivolous day to day things like they mean all the world...it takes something like this to bring our lives into perspective, and I hope that we'll be hearing all the good news soon.

First of all, let me say how amazed I am that that people that have never met face-to-face can pull together and help a friend in need.

Keith,

Your mother is lucky to have a dedicated son, such as yourself, to be by her side and aide her in this most difficult time. The support and love you are giving her is more powerful that any medication out there, continue your dedication and remain strong.

Your family is in our prayers and we will be thinking of you.

Best regards,

Brian and the LeClair family.
