November 1, 200915 yr comment_299136 Try copying the contents of the cd to your hard drive and then try to open it. Browse the cd for the actual .pdf files then copy those. If you try and open it then and it doesnt work you may have gotten a bad copy. Ensure you have the latest Adobe Reader for your operating system. If it doesnt work then, send me a pm. November 1, 200915 yr comment_299146 Patrick:Ignore the requirements on the "Required" portion of the CD.If you have a Windows based PC, and don't worry that it's XP, then you'll also have Internet Explorer. The Adobe requirement will be met with whatever version of Adobe you have that is higher than 4.0.Do ONE of the following items:1) Insert the Z CD and either let the auto-play do it's thing and bring you up the "home" screen on the cd....OR2) Key your START button;Find "RUN..." and when it opens it's little dialog input box, type: X:SETUPWhere X is the letter of your CD drive.OR3) Find the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and open it. When it brings up the screen, find the drive labeled ZCARCD and double click it to open it. Scroll / find the icon that says "SETUP" and double click it.THEN: Once the screen finishes updating, look on the left column and click the item labeled "Start Here". When the screen changes, click the button below the Z's picture that says: "Click Here to Open the Microfiche". That will take you to the starting page for the microfiche index.Addendum:It's not a bad idea to follow the instructions at the bottom of the "Start Here" page and Disable the Plug In for Acrobat as this will make it so you can see it better and faster. There are other ways, but this one will get you through for now.FWIWE Edited November 1, 200915 yr by EScanlon Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33711-microfiche-cd/#findComment-299146 Share on other sites
