hey guys i have a 76 that is now smog exempt, i wann start pulling emissions stuff off to clean up the engine bay a nit, any suggestions on where to start and what i can and can't pull would be appreciated

Why would your 76 be smog exempt? In California, basically the 1975 year model or older would be smog exempt. I've read where there are a handful of counties in California that only require smog certifications within certain zip codes. Are you in one of those?
