Posted November 6, 200915 yr comment_299566 Ok. So I'm slowly trying to get my Z working. Can someone please explain how to adjust the headlights. At the moment with the normal beams on the lights are pointed way to the left. With high beams they point straight ahead but still a bit to the left. I don't have regular headlights but the H4 conversion ones. Not exactly sure what kind as I bought them with the car. Any help would be greatJan Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33752-headlights/ Share on other sites

November 7, 200915 yr comment_299676 On my car the headlight aiming is complicated by the fact that the adjusters were broken. I bought aftermarket replacements at a local auto parts store (in the help section) but they don't secure to the moving part of the housing correctly. I had to remove the headlight buckets and use over-sized washers to trap the light frames and hold them at the correct angle.I have serious doubts about whether it will work over the long haul. November 7, 200915 yr Author comment_299678 I'm pretty certain that my adjusters are pretty screwed. Anyone have any advise other than using large washers? Jan Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33752-headlights/#findComment-299678 Share on other sites
November 7, 200915 yr comment_299681 Call every Junk yard. Pull a part or yard and look for ANY S30 then grab the headlight adjusters.Or place a "WTB" Want To Buy ad in our classifieds, 15,000 members, somebody's got a spare set.Maybe? November 7, 200915 yr comment_299682 There is a guy up in Canada with a Z junk yard. He calls himself "Smokin-geez". He's a real character, but has come through for me on ALL parts that I can't find, his prices are fair, and on top of that, negotiable. His website (which is about what you would expect from a junk yard) is:http://www.smokin-geez.comand his email address is smokin.geez@juno.comI am 100% sure he will have the headlight adjusters, and probably anything else you need. But when you get parts from him, they ALWAYS need to be seriously cleaned.
