1981 Audi 5000. And I didn't even buy it. It was given to me. The thing sucked. Underpowered, overheated, constantly popping window switches, front wheel drive.

It looked good though.

I feel bad for the guy I sold it to.

After buying my first new Z in 72, only waited a week for it. 73 bought a new Datsun pickup. Joined the Carpenters Union. Bought a new 76 Ford pickup, new 1979 Oldsmoble Starfire, was supposed to get in mid July, was delivered first week in Sept. due to strike. Car had paint runs, hood and hatch weren't aligned properly, rubberized taillight panel was stretched to one side, and the V6 engine knocked. Tire defects, had bubbles on the sidewalls. A lemon, after 4 trips to the Dealer they finally heard the engine knock. Everything was fixed, reground valves, repainted. Mileage dropped 6 mpg on highway, and burned qt. of oil every 2000 miles. 1-1/2 yrs. later paint alligated and pealed off. Starter kicked on while driving, yrs. later some small furry creature must have died in the dash area. What a smell, Kids renamed the car the ''Oldsmellmoldymobile''. I've gone back to Nissan, haven't been disappointed yet. Bought a new 91 Sentra SE-R. now a rust bucket, 257,000 miles, 10/69 Fairlady ZL RHD, 1972 Z, and an 09 Altima 6 sp. coupe.

worst car ive EVER had was a 97 ford contour. that thing drove like a boat. not only did i pay a 300 dollar down payment after test driving it for an hour.. (this was used by the way with 97k miles) i took it home on a 20 mile trip in california. The thing started running real rough, check engine light came on and the scanner said it had a miss and was running rich. a few days later the transmission started shifting hard, and the torque converter started unlocking and locking. i tried taking it back to the dealer but i made the mistake buying it "as is" and they wouldnt do anything about it. 1 week later the tranny started leaking fluid out of the side maintenance panel. replaced the gasket, and it stopped leaking.. but the tranny got worse and started slipping and grinding. the worst part about this tranny is that to even do a fluid flush you have to take the tranny out of the car and pull it apart in 2 pieces. there is no tranny pan. the pan is in the middle of the tranny. most retarded design ever. so after 2 weeks of having it i parked it on the street, and left the key on the seat and told the bank where to get it and the situation. they ended up dropping the loan in my favor and its not on my credit (thankfully)

worst car out of the 25 ive owned.

I've been pretty lucky, no major nightmares, even with MGs, Triumphs, Fiats and Jeeps.

Worst was a '73 240Z, my fault for buying it when it was raining, didn't look real good underneath. Body looked good, but after I bought it, found the frame was rusted and had been in an accident. It had a spring leaf welded between the the frame rails at the T/C mounts. It dogtracked bad and would switch lanes when hitting a bump in the road. Flattops vapor locked and it wouldn't start after hot. I've never bought another car when it's raining.

Worst car? By far was (actually my G-Friends car) a 1980 4-speed Chevy Chevette. What a pile. I drove the car for about 6-months while attending college. I can't count the number of things that went wrong with that car, not to mention the amount of parts that kept falling off too. You want to talk about gutless; man that thing had balls the size of grains of sand....

Best thing that ever happened to that car was when I was hit head on by a Cadillac. Damn near killed me, but at least I got rid of that nightmare....

Ahh, the good times.... (Sarcasm) ;)

My worst was a brand new 2005 GMC Yukon XL. Burned a quart of oil every 3K from day one. Dumped new vehicles once and for all and bought a used Ford Excursion V10 and used F250 Diesel and have never had any issues with either. No more GM for me.

1984 Z-28. I bought it brand new. Drove out of the showroom, steering wheel was off center and front rotors were warped. Should have realized at that point that this was a monday morning car. The car was in for various repair 11 times in the first year. Car stranded me 200 miles from home, at that point it had about 3000 miles. Turned out to be ignition related. I tried to give it back under lemon law but, because the problems were fixed each time the car wasn't considered a lemon. The car looked good but what POS. Was turned off to GM products after this experience and never bought an other GM.
