Hello All,

I searched around but couldn't get the answer I was looking for. I need to know if any 240z's marked as a 1972 model had the older style center consoles with the ashtray below the radio vs the ones with the metal sliding ones behind the shift boot?? Or did all 1972 240z's have the metal sliding type consoles?

Ditto to what Back-to-Zcars posted. I also checked with BA, MSA, and CN to see if they had different stock numbers for the 1972 ashtrays, but to no avail. You might try looking at a parts list.

The early '70-71 console won't clear the relocated shift lever location of the Type B transmission from '72 on. Or rather, it requires modification to clear the shifter. Never done by Nissan.
