November 24, 200915 yr comment_301208 I have a question. On one of the pictures, is shows a patch riveted over the cutout for the exhaust below the rear bumper. Is that to make it look more like a race car or is it a cheap fix. They made no effort to make it blend in so I guess it is deliberate. I agree that a new coat of paint, regardless of the color or scheme isn't enough to make a 5,000 car worth 10,000.carl Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/33914-bre-styled-car-on-craiglist-sacramento/?&page=2#findComment-301208 Share on other sites
November 24, 200915 yr comment_301209 I also wondered about that patch. IIRC, on the real BRE cars (and Ron Carter's car) there's no patch. The exhaust opening is left untouched. Linked here is a photo on Ron's gallery clearly showing the cutout left open.http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=15586&ppuser=932Gary S. November 24, 200915 yr comment_301247 There are many aspects of the replica that is for sale that are not accurate. But for the right person and the right price things could be done to make it more correct.
