Posted December 4, 200915 yr comment_302179 I've switched my computer out for a new one and I guess upgraded to Explorer 8 from 7 and now the only thing that will open on the CD is the introduction. (27 pages) Nothing else will open up. Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34027-microfiche-cd-rom/ Share on other sites

December 4, 200915 yr comment_302192 I don't have my CD handy (at work), but the entire CD is divided up into pdf files. The front end that you open in internet explorer basically just links to these PDFs. Try browsing around your CD and find the "master" pdf that links to all the other ones. You don't need IE at all to view the materials. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34027-microfiche-cd-rom/#findComment-302192 Share on other sites
December 4, 200915 yr comment_302228 The file to open with whatever PDF reader you normally use is S30_1a.pdf. Because of the security features, it is best open in Adobe Reader, not IE. December 4, 200915 yr comment_302231 I think Inf is correct. You may need to upgrade or install some of the IE add-ons like the FlashPlayer to get everything to work off the CD. Otherwise, you can copy all the pdf files (Mine had S30_1a.pdf through S30_8b.pdf and one named INDEX.TXT) to your hard drive for faster access. The Index file tells you which pdf file covers what.
