So a buddy calls to tell me about a 240Z on Craigslist. Here it is...

http://charleston.craigslist.org/cto/1496183883.html

I've sent a message to the seller and I plan to go see it soon if it is still available. Mainly I'm interested in some interior bits... anybody else interested in the whole car or parts??? Any request in the event that I make it out there? ... it's only about 45 minutes up the road from me.

Nate

is it a stick?

if so I wouldn't mind buying it I just have to talk to my dad and friend about it

and I wouldn't be able to buy it till maybe after chistmas or the summer if you wouldn't mind holding it, if you get it and if you only need a few interior parts I'll pay what ever you pay for it

-need a good body

My biggest problem is that I have no room to store the whole car or that many parts... my acqusition of this car will be contingent on it having some really good parts. If I can't get the car off to a good home quickly, I will have to strip the best parts and get them sold off.

The seller says that he won't be available until Friday... so we'll see. I'll keep y'all posted :)

I would be super interested in the passenger door. Also if the interior is "off" white, I will be interested in those pieces as well. I have a 73 that is the exact color. I however bet that the whole car is worth restoring if rust is not an issue.

Wow. How does one ship a door across country... never thought about it. I guess I would have to build a crate and ship via freight?

Didn't even think about the other interior colors... I'll def keep you in mind if the interior is white!

bunch of damn vultures.

Really? The title of the post states whole or parts. If the car is really a cherry then I will snatch it up and sell as whole to a party with the intention of resto... but every redneck around here that sees any year Z thinks it needs a chevy V8 and tubbed wheel wells. Parting it out to enthusiasts is a great alternative. Plus, no offense, it's a 73. It's not like it's a 1969 build date or a forgotten about race car with a fully detailed log book.

All that being said... do you need any specific parts that I can check on for you?

If I do grab this car I will have to sell as whole or part it out quickly... say about a month-ish.

Does not get my sense of humor. :-D But then not everyone does. ;-)

Unfortunately internet forums tend to not convey humor, sarcasm or a plethora of other emotions... sorry... I'll blame this on another internet fail.

We classic car owners do tend to be quite volturous!

All- I'll be as thourough as I can when surveying this Z... but I usually end up half blind and giddy as a school boy when I see any 240, so I'll be compiling an investigation list to take with me - so keep the requests and/or suggestions coming.

Morning all , have any of you ever see a dead chicken thrown into a pig pen , it takes mere seconds for the pigs to devour all the usable parts , it's natures way of taking care of everything , same as what should be done with a good parts car .

Darrel , I totally get your sense of humor and I hope you get the parts you can use .

Take care and have a great day from a very cold Vancouver , British Columbia

BRRRRR
