I was wondering who has owned their Z the longest? That is the longest, continual, uninterrupted length of time? (Can you tell it's December and the snow is flying here???) :ermm:

My '70 for 30 years, 6 months.

Plenty of original owners out there. I have a close-by neighbor (not a member here) who's had his since August, 1970.

I was hoping we might have a 40 year owner here. Imagine that!

38 years 11 months ........... original owner!

176,000 miles on original engine; lower end never touched but did replace camshaft, valves, etc

Car turned 39 years old this month since it was made in Dec, 1970 but I took delivery in Jan, 1971.

I can't win this one - I've only had mine for 37 years, 2 months, and 27 days. But, it HAS been in-service and ready to go for nearly all of that time (minus about 6 weeks for engine swaps/rebuilds and paint...plus 1 year up on blocks while I was stationed in Japan).

on the 3/70 Z that I now have, My father was the original owner for 39 years. I have now had it (registered to me) for 8 months. Not sure if that counts for anything.

I can't compete with you one owner 240Z guys (I was still in High School when they came out). Maybe we should have sub listings for longest 260Z and 280Z owners.

I've owned my 280Z for 32 years 3 months :)
