No, they just patched the rear vents. If you look closely you can see the vertical defrost lines. That was only on some early Series 1 hatches (after the defrost-less hatches).

Vertical defrost lines were used partway through '72.

My 2/71 has vertical defrost lines. My 5/71 has the horizontal lines

The price has dropped considerably since he first listed it. I believe he was asking over $7,000 at one time.
