Hi Marty,

Can you give me the Moog part number? I am trying to order them today.

Thanks,

Marc

It was quite a while ago and I don't have the paperwork here at the office. If you want to order today, just call them. They found it pretty quickly when I called them.

Good luck.

Marty

Ordered two ball joints from Black Dragon a few weeks ago and they would not fit (brand name was not on the box or on the part).

A few days ago I ordered the Moog parts (PN K9011) from O'Rielly online (no shipping or sales tax). Have not received them yet so can't say if they fit but hoping for the best based on this thread. Would have got them locally to check fit before purchase but no one had them or could get them quickly.

After I ordered from O'Rielly I found the same Moog PN on Rockauto for around $20 cheaper including the shipping, oh well.

By the way, before ordering I measured the stud diameter to be sure (9/70 prod I thought should have the later 14mm ones) and the left side was 14mm as expected. Figured the right side was the same.. WRONG. Right side had a 11mm (early style) balljoint and steering knuckle. So I ordered a used steering knuckle from Az Z Car Source. This front end job is taking lot's of twists and turns!

So Guys,

I just priced out the balljoints from Courtesy Nissan, $119.62 each!

Moog k9011 from RockAuto:$42.79 each.

I really want OEM parts but I don't want to throw away money. Has anyone been unhappy with their Moog parts?

Thanks,

Al

An old post but new question.

Are the moogs being shipped new style with different looking boot. Is the new style any better worse?

If I replace just the ball joint do I need to align. My real issue is the rotted dust cover, so I am also looking to source just that.

its a 75, will check and get back on the SN. The boots are completely shot, but I think ball joint is still fine, I jacked up the front and put a crow bar under the tire, could not note any kind of play. I assume you just clean them out with a solvent and then put on the new boot and pump in grease thru the fitting.

I see there are some "555" type out there too that look very nice.
