Nissan is not about to sit idly by and let the Toyota FT-86 and Honda CR-Z steal all the retro car resurrection glory. Rumor has it that Nissan will bring back the Nissan Silvia come 2011 or 2012. I think they need to ressurect the 240z ,based on a hatchback version of the S15 Silvia chassis, but use the RB26 straight six and forget the renault B.S. They should utilize the great engines they had before they were owned by renault. Although I have to say the new 3.5,3.7,and 4.0L engines are impressive, but I'm partial to the inline 4's and 6's.

You are a genius!

I've been less interested in Nissan since they ditched the in-line six. The Nissan V6 is a stout powerful and reliable motor, but just isn't as fun to drive for reasons that ellude me. As the french say... "Je ne sais quoi". Take that Renault.

The inline six (and RWD) is why our family car is a 14 year-old BMW instead of an Altima or Maxima.

I was on a biz trip last week and Hertz upgraded me to a 2010 Maxima. I was pretty jazzed until I drove it. The front wheel drive was awful. Lots of steering wheel pull and twice the car jumped lanes when mildly on the brakes while hitting a bump. Maybe a tie rod was out, but it was really bad. Came to realize last RWD Maxima was 1984! New turbo inline 6 announced by BMW looks pretty sweet....
