Hello all,

New to the site. I used to own a 78 Z in my 20's and I've missed that car for a long time. Been looking for a 280 Z for quite a while and finally found and bought a 76 today. 90K on the motor, very clean interior but the paint has some hangar rash that will need to get fixed. Kept garaged all these years.

Pretty stocked and its been a blast to drive..

Okay guys,

I'll need some help here. The Z is really clean on the body. I am willing to paint but will try to compound/buff out the original first. The suspension and probably all of the rubber has dry-rot and will need to be replaced. I see chopping on the rear wheels and I can feel the back-end cup when accelerating out of of second.

The interior is very positive. Absolutely no cracks, original am/fm radio, no AC. I am suspicious of the rugs; high quality but the hatch rugs don't have strap hole's and the center council/arm rest ops aft and looks like a fix vs. a replacement.

Here are some pic's

The carpet under the floor mats look original to me and the arm rest in the center is an after market item. The rear carpet had a foam backing that would dry out and crumble so it was probably replaced. All the rest of the car looks very good.

Welcome to the group, looks like a keeper. What's your cars vin number?

Weird seeing 240Z style steal wheels on a 280Z. Check the battery tray, rear hatch, floors, and rocker panels dog legs for rust. Probably has some (most do).

Welcome to the forum Lefforge and good luck with your car.

Out of curiosity, would you mind defining the word "foramites" used in the subject line of this thread? I'm not familiar with this term and can't seem to find a definition for it or anything close in spelling that seems relevant.
