Posted October 30, 200222 yr comment_17890 Ok, as you can tell Im new here. I am currently a member of the RX-7 forum and the owner of an 85 rx-7 gs and an 81 rx7 gsl. I have finished the mechanical side of the restoration for the 85 and am looking for a new project car.I have always enjoyed the early z cars but dont know which to choose. If some of you could post some features of each car and even some pics it would be mutch apprecieated. I need engine specs (hp, top speed, interchangeability) body differences common problems with each and good reference sites TIA peace Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3421-neewbeee/ Share on other sites
October 30, 200222 yr comment_17893 http://www.geocities.com/~z-car/specs/Check out the above site for a general overview of all the Z models. For more specific differences betweent he early cars, www.zhome.com is a great place to start. Or do a search here and you'll come up with all sorts of discussions on the differences and what will fit off one and onto another.I was looking for a post I have that gave quite a few specific examples, but I can't find it right now. October 30, 200222 yr comment_17903 I think just about everything from the 240z to the 280z interchange, hybrid engines are also not very hard to do, check out http://www.hybridz.org there is very little in body differences from the 240z to the 280z (2 seaters that is) but there is significant weight changes which kmack's link will show Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3421-neewbeee/#findComment-17903 Share on other sites
