Posted December 23, 200915 yr comment_304050 I was going through some old piles of parts in our shop and came across an early NOS Braided upper radiator hose still in its original bag. I had heard these are hard to come by and it made me wonder what is the most difficult part to acquire. December 24, 200915 yr comment_304056 N.O.S clips maybe , but you can get repros . Unobtanium parts like emblems with the chrome 240''z'' , clear hatch glass , various early dash components etc. Early gray dash surrounds , gray lower seat ''shields'' maybe ? December 24, 200915 yr comment_304071 All the braided hoses, while still available as OEM, are a pain to find.considering that the OEM flavor are at least 20 years old, i don't trust the integrity of the 20 yr old rubber. i've been trying to find a type of braiding that i can put over a new plain hose that will replicate the look of an OEM hose. December 24, 200915 yr comment_304072 Let's see...what's on my list....?Seat shields, definitely. Seat belt hooks - the little metal ones that screwed to the seat. Braided hose brake vacumn line. The fresh air vents in the engine bay.Do you guys think "chrome Z" emblems would sell? How much is a piece of clear hatch glass worth? How about early demister hatch glass? I think Carl Beck owns the record for buying hood inspection clips - $200. December 24, 200915 yr comment_304115 My hardest part? Series 1 Lower drivers side door hinge. Ugh! Mine has a busted spring retaining mechanism. I am considering purchasing a complete 5/70 series 1 just to get the hinge. Anyone need parts? December 25, 200915 yr comment_304153 For me it's the vacuum hose from the booster check valve to the balance tube on the 73'. Reddat had one a while ago for $50 or $60 but I'm holding out for a cheaper aftermarket replacement which doesn't seem to exist... PM me if you know of a source. Mine is in good condition but hard as marble.
