April 18, 201015 yr comment_316246 Just to name a few:"Horsehair" jute carpet padBridgestone RD-150 175R14 tire12V Furukawa batteryKeithKeith,I've got an RD-150 on the original steel wheel. Bought it as an original spare but, when I found a Bridgestone Superspeed-20 for my spare, don't need the RD-150. It is used but in very nice condition if you need one for show or originality. Let me know if you would be interested.Dan Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34212-what-is-the-hardest-to-find-early-z-car-part/?&page=3#findComment-316246 Share on other sites

April 20, 201015 yr comment_316558 Yea, there really isn't an "original 1969 thin style 5 speed wood shift knob" although I know someone who found one in Japan a number of years ago. Depends on what you mean by original 1969. Depends on what you mean by original 1969.Well, I believe xs10shl has a 1969 production Fairlady Z432, so I think in his case the early wood "thin style" 5 speed shift knob would be correct. Let's not forget that JDM cars and other markets outside the US got the five speed transmission from the beginning.Xs10shl, there are reproductions of the early choke and throttle knobs available. Send me a PM if you want the contact information on those.-Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34212-what-is-the-hardest-to-find-early-z-car-part/?&page=3#findComment-316591 Share on other sites
April 21, 201015 yr comment_316614 original thin-style 5 speed wood shift knob I don't think there is any difference between one for a '69 or '70 is there? One came up for sale on Ebay a few months back, while we were discussing them in this thread. Goose52 teased us with his and a pic of an empty box too. The part number shown in the 1970 FairladyZ S30-PS30 catalog, listed as an option is C2865-E4100.http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showpost.php?p=313480&postcount=32 Edited April 21, 201015 yr by geezer Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34212-what-is-the-hardest-to-find-early-z-car-part/?&page=3#findComment-316614 Share on other sites
April 21, 201015 yr comment_316619 So far for me, the hardest part (Used) is the inner left quarter panel plastic. Must be made of breakable unabtanium. I have a cracked one that is complete (not missing any chunks) that would just need to be glued to be usable. I'll give it to you for free if you can wait a couple of weeks.-Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34212-what-is-the-hardest-to-find-early-z-car-part/?&page=3#findComment-316621 Share on other sites

April 21, 201015 yr comment_316634 Totally missing. It's for the green Z. The only part of that panel that was in the car was the part just over the strut tower, the rest was broke off and gone.Mike, That would be awesome and I can wait. I'm patient like that.just let me know. Thanks in advance,Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34212-what-is-the-hardest-to-find-early-z-car-part/?&page=3#findComment-316634 Share on other sites
April 21, 201015 yr comment_316666 The PS30 or PS30SB would be my thought for an "original 1969" application; a "thin" 5-speed knob. I remember V12horse from this site had one. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a thread from him buried in the archives some time around 2005. I recall it was a competiton part application? The factory rally cars had them, I recall.
