Posted December 24, 200915 yr comment_304100 Hi Guys, CarDomain has nominated the BlueOvalZ as 1 of 5 cars to compete for their coveted Show Off of The Year award. With over 700,000 cars as members on their site this is quite an honor. The "Show Off of The Year" will be awarded by popular vote. In addition you may vote on a variety of other categories such as Best Exhaust, Best Manufacturer, Best Oil, Best Wheel, etc. Voting will conclude on December 31, and a winner will be announced. 1 vote per person per 24 hour period. Please take a moment now to stop by and cast your vote for the BlueOvalZ. Thanks for the support!! http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/12/22/peoples-choice-2009/ Edited December 27, 200915 yr by ZWOLF Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34217-blueovalz-cardomains-soty/ Share on other sites
December 24, 200915 yr comment_304103 Strange poll in my opinion.E.G. Under best tire manufacturer you can vote for B.F. Goodrich, Falken, Hankook, Bridgestone, or Pirelli. What happened to Toyo, Yokomaha, Goodyear, Michelin, Cooper, etc?(Yes I know that Michelin owns B.F. Goodrich, but that is beside the point.)A similar fate awaits fans of Honda, Porsche, Chrysler, VW, etc...Pretty meaningless poll all things considered. But I confess that I do like the Blue Oval Z. I wouldn't do that to my car, but it is an interesting setup.Nice job. December 25, 200915 yr comment_304155 You got my vote. If I had the money and time I would love to build my own interpretation of what a modern 240Z would/should look like, and this comes pretty close to that for me. Not a big fan of the new splitter, although I'm sure it probably appeals to the Nas(t)car fans out there. December 25, 200915 yr Author comment_304192 The BOZ is still out front. It's lead has narrowed a bit by the Lexus. In the manufacture poll, Nissan is still out frontIt appears that you can vote 1 time per 24 hour period. http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/12/22/peoples-choice-2009/ Edited December 27, 200915 yr by ZWOLF Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34217-blueovalz-cardomains-soty/#findComment-304192 Share on other sites
December 26, 200915 yr comment_304212 Terry's car is awesome, and I have always loved it. it is a great honor indeed, but this has to be killing him too, since he no longer owns the Z. and i bet he is missing it right now, more than anyone will ever know. December 27, 200915 yr comment_304309 Just so no one is confused - - The Blue Oval Z - - - - is listed as "Terry's Datsun 240Z"Just a reminder - You can and SHOULD remember to Vote once every 24 hours - - - just because the BOZ is ahead now - let's not let one of the other groups sand bag us, by holding out votes until the last couple of days. Also - while you are there - Under "Best StreetFire Video" - - I have to admit that Ray Millen's Pike's Peak run in the Hyundia Genesis is pretty amazing...http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/12/22/peoples-choice-2009/Vote Now...FWIW,Carl B. December 28, 200915 yr comment_304384 I do like the car but I can't se how it represents the Z as the car of the year. All of the body has been replaced, so has the drivetrain. It looks like it has less Z parts than other parts. To me it is like building a Cobra kit and calling it a Cobra. That being said, I did vote for it Edited December 28, 200915 yr by Stickerman Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34217-blueovalz-cardomains-soty/#findComment-304384 Share on other sites

December 29, 200915 yr Author comment_304465 Thanks everyone for their ongoing support.Today was turbulent. The BlueOvalZ started the day at 44% of the vote. Since noon the BOZ has lost 15% while the Mustang has picked up 30% (22% in thelast hour and a half) and still climbing. We have identified their methods and for ethical reasons have chosen not to duplicate them. This poll ends on Thursday night, and we are looking to make a Z car "Show Off of the Year"If you have not voted please take a moment make your opinion count.http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/12/22/peoples-choice-2009/Thanks Again!
