Posted January 18, 201015 yr comment_306606 I'm getting ready to make my own brake lines for my 71 240z. I have found everything I need except the 10mm x 1.0 brake line nuts. I've tried my local Autozones and Oreillys and Napa with no luck. I can buy brake lines with the correct nuts everywhere, but not the nuts ONLY. Where else might I try to look. Or do I just go ahead and order them online. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34458-brake-line-nuts/ Share on other sites

January 19, 201015 yr comment_306757 Anybody estimated tool + lines + nuts. I'm in the process of considering polishing existing lines (with 40 year old nuts with usual vice grip gouges) or replacing all fuel/brake lines with new. I figure fuel lines are larger versions of the brake lines with different flare tooling. I bought my "cheap" flaring tool at Oreilly's for around $25 and it can be a challenge to get a nice flare. After numerous attempts I did finally get the hang of it, but I can tell that a higher quality tool would be worth every penny. I can't tell you who makes a better tool, but you may want to do some homework before you make this investment. January 22, 201015 yr comment_307004 Here's another source for the brake line nuts...Item #3043...pretty much buy as many as you want...my best guess to replace all nuts was around 50 or so...so that's what I ordered...and if you come up a little short, then just order some more...or just order a few extra on your initial order...http://fmsiinc.com/brake-line-tube-nuts.htmwebdawg1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34458-brake-line-nuts/#findComment-307004 Share on other sites
