Posted January 21, 201015 yr comment_306914 Not Z related, but doesn't everyone love a good duct tape story? During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and a fisherman left a cooler-box full of bait in the plane. Well a bear happen by and smelled it. This is what the bear did to the plane. The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34491-best-duct-tape-story-ever/ Share on other sites
January 21, 201015 yr comment_306919 Ahhh...duct tape, the handyman's secret weapon! I notice in the pics he is prepared for a possible return visit by the bear, keeping his rifle closeby. Very resourceful fellow. I guess you have to be in that environment. Hey BooBoo...hows about we go get some picnic baskets?:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34491-best-duct-tape-story-ever/#findComment-306919 Share on other sites
January 21, 201015 yr comment_306935 Oh man, I'd like to see how he patched that tail. It looks pretty bad. Good job, though! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34491-best-duct-tape-story-ever/#findComment-306935 Share on other sites
January 21, 201015 yr comment_306964 Wow, when you said "3 boxes of duct tape" I was thinking "jeez, how bad could it have been." I didn't realize he had to wrap the entire fuselage. Nice body work. If just shows you, with a BFH and some duct tape, man is capable of virtually anything he puts his mind to.
