Help needed to uncover the history of my Z

I started the spreadsheet in the first place after repeatedly failing to get my car listed in the other register.

Somebody has totally scrambled the front end of your list.

I corrected my VIN and engine s/n but it is listed again down the list with some other owner ....... I flagged same with NFG!

Is there any way to make the list available on-line but have file "read-only"?

All updates can be sent thru you to enter correctly or reject back to person that sent them.

When I get the time I'm planning on going back through old revisions and try to straighten it out. I originally used a different online spreadsheet that required me to grant access on an individual basis which seemed like too much work for me and the people entering data since they're have to ask for permission to even get started.

I guess my question at this point is - what is the big issue with trying to locate the original owner? Is there some problem you are trying to track down? If not, why expend all this effort? Sure, it'd be great if we all had all the history on our cars. But sometimes that's not available. Is contacting the original owner going to increase your enjoyment of the car?

I thought it was fun to talk to the original owner of my car he also filled in a lot of history on the car and I've added things to my restoration that he had on the car that I thought was cool to have. I got a lot out of it and it has increased the enjoyment of my car. I wish him luck, but the chances are he is just going to run out of options soon.
