Just filled out everything and hit the "PayPal" button and got this....

"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Incorrect syntax near 's'.

/Canby10/Cars/C_Submit.asp, line 416 "

Anyone else have this problem while registering?

Uh...oops ;-) I didn't do lots and lots of error handling when I created the form. It's likely that you entered a special character in the comments or some other text field.

Feel free to email me at julie@510coop.com and I'll get this straightened out for you.

Thanks!

Are you entering the show this year Dave? After Arne's stolen gas door knob last year I'm considering it just to have my car in a more attended area.

I don't know. I wasn't thinking straight, it's bill day and I figured I would kill that bird as well. I forgot that I normally pay AT the show. I was thinking "Get the shirt and hoody before they're gone.

I'll just pay when I get there on Sunday Morning. Your car on the other hand is "Show" worthy as apposed to mine. I was gonna enter in the modified because there is too much done to it to be stock. I think I'll just go to go.

Dave

But I'm still gonna get me a shirt and hoody....

I was thinking along the same lines, but I'm not convinced that the judged area is all that much better. Still might not want to leave the car unattended. Still deciding.

Anyone else planning to register for the judged show?

I think I will, if I go at all. I always buy a T-shirt anyway, so $15 for that, plus another $5 to get into the side area is only $10 less than the judged show (which comes with a T-shirt). Now I just have to decide if I will go or not. I plan to go to ZCon in Nashville, and may go to the Mitty in April. If I go to both I will probably skip Canby this year. I wish I was able to take my blue car to Zcon, but I need to be back at work the Monday after the show (which is on the weekend this year), so no time to drive back.

Now that we know what can happen, even at a Datsun show where you would think the criminals don't come, we can all try to keep an eye out for anything questionable and watch out for each other's cars. I don't worry too much about mine because it is 7 colors and looks like a POS but I will be keeping a watchful eye anyway no matter where I park.

As an added attraction, Steve Epperly will be doing a carb install and tune for Dave Irwin, more than likely Sunday AM. Would be an excellent time to see first hand how tuning "needs" to happen. We can bring extra UNI-SYNs if anyone needs one and wants to save shipping.

Dave may also have his headlight upgrades in tow to show off.
